Hello everyone,
I just recently made my first purchase from Veganessentials.com and bought the chocolate donut. I'm sure a topic was already made concerning vegan donuts, but I couldnt find it. Anyways, has anyone ordered and tried the donuts from that specific website or anyother? :hungry:

Was it the Nutrilicious brand? I love those!
I've tried some others too and was also pleased.
My favorites are the ones with the yogurt glaze.

Hey Erin,
Thanks for the response. I believe they are the Nutrilicious brand :) Im glad to hear
that you enjoy them. I was a little hesitant of having a packaged vegan donut but not anymore.

I've had the vanilla ones with chocolate glaze from Pangea. I think the brand was VeganSweets, but I could be wrong. They were very  !

both donut brands are yummy
nutrilious makes some cinnamon ones that are killer, and the seasonal pumpkin is good

The nutrilicious marble fudge one is the most awesome donut I've ever consumed, vegan or not.
Have recently purchased Pangea brand ones... Hm. . Wonder if it can compare.

Yeah, the Pumpkin Spice ones are TDF! I used to buy one every time I went to the HFS. I have also seen some Spelt ones, I have been meaning to try those and they have some really good Spelt Peppermint cookies and Chocolate Chip Sugar-free Cookies. :lick: Shannon

Oh, I'm glad to hear that it's good! I almost didn't order it because I've never heard anything about them. I didn't know they changed their recipe. Has that happened recently?

i used to buy them by the case and eat 1 for breakfast every morning...
well one day, they arrived and they were different (in a not better sort of way) and theyve been that way since
i no longer get them in bulk, but theyre good for a treat once in a while

The Nutrilicious brand doughnuts are awesome. I have tried the Marble, Chocolate, Raspberry and Spelt flavors. They are even better than I remember doughnuts tasting especially Krispy Kreme which I didn't really care for when I tried it. I have an order from Vegan Essentials coming tomorrow. I just hope I don't eat them all in the first day.

How can a vegan donut not be good? Its a donut, it has to be good no matter what. Its like sex; even if its bad, its still good. :p

I wish Dunkin' Donuts had at least one vegan donut available. I used to love them (especially jelly & glazed). Nutrilicious ones are okay, but not so easily accessible, considering there seems to be at least one Dunkin' Donuts in every town where I live.

You could write to them and ask them to try it. Pitch it as a good business adventure - Can you imagine how many vegans would be dying to go to Dunkin Donuts all of a sudden?

Alright, so I received the donut. Its made by Nutrilicious and the flavour is Chocolate spelt donut carob iced. To be honest, it wasnt that great at all. I didnt get a very chocolately taste that I was expecting and it tasted very stale. I will order another flavour in the future and hopefully they will be a little more decent tasting.

I tried the Nutrilicious brand quite a few years ago and didn't like them then. The VeganSweets brand is much better. They taste just like a regular cake donut.

I bought the Chocolate Marble Swirl and Yogurt glazed donuts by Nutrilicious from veganessentials.com
The Yogurt glazed was pretty good.. I've never been into glazed donuts anyway.
The Chocolate Marble Swirl was amazingly good!! Absolutely Loved it! :lick:
You can get individual ones from veganessentials, but http://www.nutrilicious.com sells them in 12 to 18 packs for cheaper. They say they only have a 30 day shelf life --- but if you need some for a party or whatever... get it direct and enjoy.
