My nipples are very dry.

I'm not sure what caused it.

But they have been like this for a while (maybe even a year or so)

I've been to a doctor and she suggested putting a mild moisturer on it but that doesn't seem to work.

olive oil works WONDERS!

Are you dry anywhere else? Is your bra properly fitted? Again, are you sure that your bra is properly fitted (the measurement calculation doesn't work for most women)?

Yes. Olive oil is great. BigWaxJesus was saying in another thread that coconut oil works well for dry skin. Coco Butter is good too. Don't think that just regular lotion will work. Maybe try baby oil in the shower right before you get out. Not to sound weird or anything, but whatever you use will feel good going on. I always love the way it feels afterwards. It's like..Ahhhh.... :)

very exciting stuff heh?

I think you and many other men from the 40 or so people who have viewed it and only two women have replied.

after shower I would saay, but not toooo much as it is noot so easy to get it out of wat efer your wearing.

Are theree more spots on your skin that appeaar dry?
If so you might need more omega fatty acids oil "stuff"

Yep. Use just a touch of the olive oil after the shower before you dry off. If you'd like, you can scent it with some vanilla or almond (or whatever you like). Let it soak in about 10 minutes before getting dressed.

Try not to take such hot showers too. The skin there is very thin and is easiest to dry out. Usually when you get dry there hot water has helped get them that way. Moisturize all over frequently too especially in the winter months.

Almond oil is nice, too, and smells really good.

I have this same issue, especially in winter when I get overall dryness. I use a moisturizing body wash in the shower (Kiss My Face Silky Smooth Shower Gel is really nice), and I put a little sweet almond oil on any dry patches I have after the shower. I let it soak in while I dry my hair and I'm good to go. I prefer sweet almond oil over olive oil because it has a more neutral scent, and is lighter so it absorbs faster.

I think shea butter is a terrific moisutizer. When I nursed my son, I'd get sore and I'd use shea butter or canendula (sp ).

Udder cream? Or Bag Balm? I mean.. its made for cow boobies, but it might help... Vasoline has helped with nipple chafing in the past. (I've learned that when you buy a new bra, and it has a seam across the middle, DON'T WEAR IT ALL DAY cause you'll lose a nipple)

My favourite too expensive lotion right now is vtae stuff, www.vtae.com, its not all vegan tho (some has honey), but its really really nice and has helped tremendously with my dry skin!

Maybe the soap/body wash you're using could be causing the dryness?

??? that's a joke, right? Ummm....she's asking for some serious suggestions. Do you have one?

i think he's serious. actually i've used lip balm under my nose and around my nostrils when i have a cold and get that dry red blown-too-often nose thing going on. works well depending on the balm. don't see why it wouldn't work elsewhere. just nothing minty or citrus flavoured cause if the skin is cracked that'll buuuuurrrrrrrrrn

and i agree new bras are the devil.
do you do the same as me in washing? .. i wash my skivies in cold water and hang them to dry. the only fabric softener i use is dryer sheets. so hang dry stuff doesn't get any and now my undies are all fairly stiff.
if so try adding a liquid softener for a couple washes and see if that helps.
also one of my older bras makes me itch lately because the fabric is starting to pill (get little fuzzballs) and they rub and irritate. ditch your old bras or run a lint razor over them. then if possible go braless for a couple days and wear soft fabrics, see if it clears up.

Men have nipples too.

Cocoa butter is my obsession. It removes blemishes (really!!), moisturizes, tastes good...well you're not supposed to eat it I think but I couldn't resist licking my lips after using it as a lip balm.

Lipbalm: I wouldn't use it cause some lipbalms have stuff in it that dry's your skin so you keep using the stuff.

Maybe it's eczema?? I get small patches on my shoulders every winter and lotion doesn't do a thing for it.

I was thinking it could be the laundry detergent that you are using, but if the rest of your skin doesn't have a problem and you've been using the same one for a while, that's probably not plausible.

Could you just be generally dehydrated, BlueSpy?

Most men think that everything women do has to do with them, so it's just in their nature to read the women-only posts because, after all, it's probably about men; right? What else could be possibly be talking about?

no i drink gallons and gallons of water

i think it either my body wash, or omega 3 , or maybe a rash

whatever it is i have increased my flax oil (that stuff is terrible) and have started to moisture if that doesn't work i'm not sure what i will do

as for guys, we have better things to talk about he he
