hello moderators you kind and generous people you,
it was recently brought to my attention that I might not be allowed a moving avatar. I will change it if you say to, but I just want to point out that my avatar is less than 75 x 75 pixels and smaller than the 9000 bite max. I'd make a poll but that would be silly. Please let me know what I should do.
have a good one,
David....ummm, errr ....... d7

It's cute and I like it and all, but Michael's guidlines are no animated GIF's for avatars. I'm sure he'll let you know why. Notice that we don't have one??

hello moderators you kind and generous people you,
Don't forget anally neat and orderly. Based on certain opinions from up high, I'm pretty sure this won't be changing any time soon. So, for aesthetic reasons, no, you cannot have animated avatars. Pls. change it, now-ish.
Besides, animated avatars are the comb-overs of message boards :beatnik:

As a friendly comment from a non-moderator :)
Avatars are supposed to be exactly 75x75 (unless contributing, then 100x100) [unless something's changed], and non-animated. So you'rs actually violated 2 of the requirements.
It'd probably be best to change it now as Max Power (one moderater) said.
Michael will probably remove your avatar if it doesn't meet the requirements, D7. You might want to change it. ^_^
And JL, you're right, those are the requirements.

It was a joke. Pls. change your avatar.
Well, it wasn't really a joke - they look hidious, I think, but "what I think" is not why you should be changing your avatar.

You must have missed the bold red link on the upload form that says...
>> Before uploading an avatar - click this and read! <<

Read the thread before you add it again.

no need, I'm not going to add it again.
but who's the wiseguy who erased Brak? Someone's feeling spiteful.

If you add that avatar again you're going to be suspended. Read the thread and quit wasting my time.

75x75 dear. :)
D7,
Avatars must be exactly 75x75 pixels, no more, no less, unless you are a contributing member, at which point you may have one that is 100x100, no more, no less.
This is Michael's rule, and he will delete any avatar that does not meet the requirements.
I suggest that you create a suitable avatar that meets the guidelines, or go without.
ETA: Oops, Ker beat me too it! Ah well. ^^;;

on the add an avatar screen it says "Note the maximum size of your custom image is 75 by 75 pixels or 9000 bytes (whichever is smaller)."
but now that I know which of the (slightly) conflicting rules regarding avatars to follow I will abide.
Michael I will say that rather than getting pissed at and threatening me for adding the same avatar twice you could have (I think should have) asked me just once to make my avatar exactly 75x75. But hey, for all I know you'll suspend me anyway just for being an ass and pointing that out.

You added three avatars that violate the rules. You did not click the bold red link that says to read it before you upload your avatar. I asked you to read that thread several times. You flat out refused. The very first sentence of that thread, had you read it when I asked you to, clearly states that you should contact someone if you do not completely understand the rules. Not only that but several other people tried to help you in this thread. Before I even got here several people had asked you nicely to remove it. So don't think you're going to pin this one on me.
