I'm just getting started up sponsoring a chicken and a turkey, but I hope to sponsor a cow and a couple other animals in the future. I'm waiting for the pictures to get here!

That's so cool! I adopted 4 cows a few years ago when I first joined----so cute!! I only wish I could go visit them and all the other great animals. I'd love to meet the people who work on a daily basis with them and give big, wide hugs to them all.

Farm Santuary is having a fund raising dinner in Costa Mesa sponsored by Native Foods at their newest restaurant. Just $100 a ticket! I practically had my shoes on until I read that part. Phooey! I can't do that! Truly, I donate that and more through the year----but $200 for my husband and me? I don't feel I can----so sad.......

If anyone goes, please share!

Also, if I may-----there are many fires in So. Calif. right now----the worst ever! I'd like to request good thoughts and for those who pray, you know what to do. The firefighters need your support and the people who've lost their homes do too! Lives have been lost, please, for them--pray. Many acres of forest are affected which means all forms of wildlife have suffered, TV news shows us deer, confused and running for their lives, my heart breaks------

Thanks friends.

Yeah, I told some family members about it, but they weren't as thrilled as I was, so I had to share the excitement with people who understand!

I will pray for the people in California.

Doesn't Farm Sanctuary rock? I want to adopt a cow as soon as my credit card is paid off (in a couple of months). Actually, I'd like to adopt one of everything!

Of course they're not. Where's the fun in paying for a chicken or turkey when you can't even eat it.

:p Good for you! :)

LOL, Michael. Hurray for all those supporting the LIVES of animals, and not their deaths...
