"Cheese" burger mushrooms
Category: Snacks
This recipe is suitable for a: vegetarian/vegan/raw diet
Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serves: 2
Ingredients:
-----------------------------------------------------
4 giant mushrooms
3 tablespoons margarine
3 tablespoons mustard
2 crushed cloves of garlic
herbs (thyme, rosemary, herbs de Provence, etc.)
3 tablespoons nutritional yeast
4 tablespoons water
each 4 thick slices of cucumber and tomato
Salt and pepper
chili sauce
Instructions:
-----------------------------------------------------
For the herb butter, mix 2 tablespoons of margarine and mustard with the garlic and the herbs and season with salt and pepper.
For the "Cheese", melt the remaining margarine in a saucepan. Add the mustard, nutritional yeast and water and allow to boil while stirring.Remove from heat, season with salt and let cool slightly.
Preheat oven to grill level (about 250 ° C).
Meanwhile, remove the stalks of the mushrooms and fill with the herb butter. Give a dab of chili sauce on top and seal each mushroom with a slice of cucumber. Pour the "Cheese" carefully over the mushrooms and cover each with a slice of tomato. Anyone who wants can pour remaining "Cheese" onto the tomato.
Bake the mushrooms in a greased baking dish approximately 15 minutes until golden brown au gratin. Remove to cool slightly. You may even sprinkle the dish with a few herbs.
Additional comments:
-----------------------------------------------------
These mushrooms are great as "Cheese" burger on a burger bun with lettuce, mayo and ketchup. Also great with fries or potato wedges and / or salad. The mushrooms spicy, juicy inside and topped with a deliciously cheesy "Cheese".
Preperation as seen from left to right.
Right from the oven...
...and oh so juicy inside.
Bon Apetit !
