When did we get this "New Default" theme? I just tried it today and it has a nicer looking VB logo. Now for the suggestion: is it possible to get alerts for when a new features is added that is not immediately noticeable?

ewww yick. not a fan of that old vb logo nor the layout- too busy. i'm sticking with my grape. :(

the alerts sounds good. i don't know if there is a way of automating them- someone could manually do an announcement banner, but i expect admin would have to make a special point to do that when the changes were applied.

The "Where Friendships Grow" is my second favorite logo. My favorite one is this:

Others don't seem to like it. Maybe they would like it better if we replaced the orange with green:

That one has always been my favorite too. it looks icky in green, tho... :D

I think it grows on you and I think I like it a little better. I agree with WonderRandy, my green version isn't great. It's just something I whipped up in 5 minutes. With some tweaking, I think it could be good.

I think the big thing about the orange/brown color scheme is it goes against the vegetable idea. Most veggies are green. The aren't orange/brown (except for pumpkins and potatoes).

On a side note, there is an advantage of this new theme: people's avatars are shown at their original size. Therefore, you don't get mis-shapen or blurry images. Big plus in my book.

By the way, can I get special treatment and allowed to use a 250x250 pixel avatar? I'd really appreciate it. I'd feel very special if I were the only one allowed to do so.

I only just discovered it the other day but I LOVE the new default style! The blue colour of it is a bit boring for me but I love having a different style skin for a change cos I'm so bored of that old VB style after all these years.

That theme was never meant to be used. It has been deleted.

Damn! I had been using it since I discovered it a while back, and as soon as someone says they don't like it, it gets removed. I really liked it! Didn't hurt anyone to have it there.

at the bottom left of your screen, you'll find a drop down menu of "themes" to choose from. they're mostly just different colors, but apparently, there might be different functionality as well...
