I was wondering what types of natural shampoos, toothpastes, deodorants would any of you reccommend? I tried Tom's of Maine toothpaste and I like that, but I tried nature's gate rainwater herbal shampoo I thought it was just o.k. I need a moisturizing shampoo because my hair gets really dry in the winter. What brands are the best? I really appreciate anyone's advice. Thanks!

Lush (http://www.lush.com) has a conditioner which I've heard is good, and Simply Soaps (http://www.simplysoaps.com) have conditoning oil which also looks good and I'm going to order it soon.

I use Avalon organic botanicals shampoo and conditioner, which I really like.

As for toothpaste, I use Kingfisher which tastes nice but feels a bit grainy.

For deodorant I use crystals (made of salts.) I apply it very well each morning and then add a few drops of essential oils because the salts don't have a scent.

I don't use shampoo (no hair!) and for toothpaste I use Tom's!

I’ve found that lots of natural shampoos/conditioners make my hair really dry. At the moment I use Jason’s - http://www.jasoncosmetics.com/hair-shampoo.html the apricot ones seem to be really good for my hair.
I have tried heaps of different deodorants too and still haven’t found a good one. At the moment I use a crystal mist one which is ok, but not great.
I think it’s best to just try a few different ones and see what works for you.

I just switched to Tom's toothpaste, as of yesterday. I'm still getting used to the baking soda taste but I like it!

As for shampoo, I use Rusk Calm shampoo and conditioner. No animal products or animal testing. It works really well and doesn't dry my hair out. They have lots of different shampoos for all kinds of hair.

I use Arbonne's shampoo & conditioner & sometimes I'll add a few drops of skin conditioning oil to it. I've been using this for a year and love it...which is unusual for me because before that, I'd switch and try a million things and give stuff away because I didn't like it. I visit a salon every 6 weeks for color treatments and my stylist is always complimenting me on how my hair feels :D Of course, maybe it's my healthy animal free diet too!
I remember my hair getting very dry from certain brands of natural shampoo (Kiss my Face was one that sticks out in my mind). I also remember that my hair didn't always feel clean and it seemed hard to rinse out.

Kiss my Face makes the BEST whitening toothpaste & it's organic. It tastes awesome. I also love the smell of it when I unscrew the cap....weird huh? Check out their website (www.kissmyface.com) and check out my Arbonne website too (listed in my signature) while you're at it :D

I have used Rusk shampoo in the past too, and liked it fairly well. I think their website is www.rusk1.com. I use many of their styling products. I think their products are only sold in salons.

For shampoo and conditioner, I've been using Nature's Gate Organics. I was a little sketchy at first about it's uh, cleaning power... But it's proven to work really well. They have different formulas for different hair types, too.

Toothpaste - Tom's, definetely. I'm actually a big fan of his Children's Silly Strawberry. :) It makes my mouth smile.

Does it acually whiten your teeth more than conventional toothpaste? My teeth are a few more shades yellow than I'd prefer. :/

Mikie, In my opinion, it did! It's definitely worth trying.
I've used plenty of those whitening toothpastes in the past and I never noticed a difference until I found the Kiss my Face stuff. :D You have a great smile by the way...

Where can I find there products el cheapo? I tried using the two brands my local HFS carries- Jason and Aubrey organics- and they were like 8$ a bottle and worked terribly!! I have really oily hair, so I have to have something with a lot of cleaning power, but not one that just dries your hair out....Lately I've been using Aussie because it doesn't test on animals and it actually WORKS but I'd rather be using an all natural brand.
