this is an off-shoot of similar threads where you compliment the person above you or whatever. for those of you that don't know, a roast, as opposed to a toast, is just a good-natured way of teasing someone. for example, if michael had posted above me, i could post something like "started VB as a vegetarian dating service for himself." although i guess this is closter to a truth than a roast... :)
