We are having a cook out. My six and nine are burping out sentences, like "I love you" and "More cheese chips please" husband is dropping *hot dogs* and saying "sh*t". Gia's theme for the evening seems to be "down with stupid people" lol. Ah...it's good to have her home. Her brother's are on their way home...so this party is just gettin' started!

Earlier, I had a most unsatisfying meal at the in-laws'. Canned green beans (blah), iceburg lettuce salad (that's iceburg lettuce and nothing else), the kind of garlic bread that comes frozen in a foil bag with hydrogenated crap on it (by far the best part of the meal) and cheese ravioli (which my sister in law made knowing full well I don't eat cheese, then tried to get me to eat by saying "it doesn't have meat"). Same SIL also made antagonistic comments about turkeys and stuffing earlier in the evening. I keep my thoughts to myself around omnis, particularly at meals and particularly around her, so it is almost certainly misplaced aggression based on guilt or something, what with T-day coming up and all.

Visiting with my SO's parents was nice, though. My MIL was displaying her bizarre sense of humor, so I was amused. FIL showed pictures from their recent vacation. Digital cameras that can display on TV screens are the new home slide-shows, except you can't surreptitiously take a nap because the lights aren't off.
