I bought tortilla shells that were La Tortilla Factory brand. It said on the package that there were only 50 calories per tortilla and 8 grams of dietary fiber. There were also different flavors, such as garlic, no obvious animal ingredients (I'm 99 percent sure they were vegan, but there can be something I'm unaware of).
So they sound great, don't they? NOOOO! These things taste like cardboard. Even "juicy" ingredients in the shell (tomato, lettuce, taco sauce, chreese) don't make up for how dry it is.
If you see these in the store, do not buy them! It's a waste of money.

Too late for me too...
They are soooooo dissapointing...
I bought the whole wheat version,
and couldn't deal with the dryness at all...
Maybe you could make chips out of them?
I should have thought about that before
chunking them...
Oh, and another very dissapointing item
is those cheeters crackers...
I still have a bunch of those...
Hard as stone, and dry, dry, dry...
Don't know if they are vegan, so beware...
If I were you, I wouldn't bother trying them...

The low carb/highprotein/high fiber ones you mean? really bad? I like it so much I eat them straight out of the package plain.
But they make BAD BAD chips, not edible at all!
Oh, you know I am a mouse so it's no surprise that I love chewing on woody kind of things. But hey, don't bother to put that stinky swiss cheese on the trap, me quit cheese already, put some peanuts on it you may catch me ;) peanuts and dates you will have a even better chance.

Freemouse, yes, I do think they say on them that they're low in carbs. I'm not sure about protein.
I like rice cakes every once in a while, but not those tortillas. How can you eat them plain?!!! Different taste buds, I guess! :)

Mark likes them... I have never tried them, and Chef Deb likes them.
I used to eat them every now and again.... I thought they were pretty good.
