If my kid dropped out of school I would be furious. I would sit him down and tell him in blinding detail what happens when you stop going to classes. You end up with a 1.32 GPA, have to work minimum-wage retail jobs or night-shift grocery work (not that there's anything wrong with that)... and find your way back into school at 32. Of course at the community college level because no university on the planet would take a 1.32 GPA.

If the kid was in high school and under 18 years of age, then he gets to deal with the truant authorities. He also gets to work full time to pay off the fines. His life would be work and nothing else. He can choose to be miserable, or to finish school.

If he was in college, see above story. He would get to find out what it's like to have to work 3 jobs to pay the bills.

No, I wouldn't I would probably kick her ass and his and then have a LONG SERIOUS TALK about what is going to happen with us with him and go to marriage councelling if children were involved. I don't believe in divorce and wouldn't want to put a child through that. I would avoid breaking up if I knew I could make it worse but we would DEFINITELY GET HELP and DEFINITELY move.
