Hello,
I'm new to the forum but not new to being a vegetarian(5 years). But lately i learned about cheese with rennet in it. So i now won't eat cheese inless it says no animal rennet. And when doing more research i found vegetarians can't eat Mono & Diglycerides and 85% of the items i have been eaten all this time contains Mono & Diglycerides, so do vegetarians(Not Vegans) look out for all the small things like Mono & Diglycerides(what is it). I have already put my dad through hell with when he shops and not there will be almost nothing i can eat that he gets. So what should i do. Also because of learning of these things have i failed at being a vegetarian. Thanks for the help

Mono/Diglycerides can come from either plant or animal sources, so if the food specifically says vegan on it you should be fine. If it's simply a vegetarian food, then there might be dairy or egg products in it to bring in animal-derived glycerides.

If you needed further answers on the rennet situation, I know there's a thread around here somewhere which goes into detail about the subject. :)
