So, I need to find a great place to get my eyebrows waxed in Los Angeles. I'm assuming that not all waxes/spas are cruelty free and want to phase all that out of my life :)
I live in WeHo but will drive for fabulous brows...
Merci!

don't know much about waxing in LA, but have you considered threading?
it is for sure cruelty free because they only use thread and powder and to me doesn't hurt nearly as bad as waxing, and i think they can be more precise with the thread too. also if you have thick dark brows (i do), most threaders are experts at shaping them i have found than waxers....think it might be because threading comes from an area of the world where thick brows are common.
here is a popular place: http://www.threadingstudio.com/

I've never done it, but it has been on my mind to try it. As another bonus, I imagine it doesn't pull the skin around the eyes as much as waxing does. I'll give it a try...thanks!!!

I didn't know waxing could be vegan or nonvegan.
But yeah, if you'd rather have threading done, don't spend a fortune. I've had it done and I don't mind it. I'm used to pricking and stinging around my eyebrows because they're so bushy I've been tweezing for decades, but I needed them done in a hurry for my nephew's wedding last year, and while getting my hair done at Fantastic Sams I had my eyebrows done as well. They both tweeze and thread during the process. It stung for the first minute or two, and then it was okay. I just lay back and relaxed and it didn't bother me after that. I'm thinking of getting them done again. The Fantastic Sams in Santa Monica charges $15.

Wow, I just looked at that site. I didn't realize how cheap they are for threading. And with a coupon, too. I just assumed they'd be more expensive. :dunce:
Nice to know they have a location in Westwood.

Thanks, Amy!!!
A friend of mine runs a green spa in San Diego so she asked her esthetician for me. I still have no clue is waxing is vegan or not...I've been googling it but to no avail. Her esthetician said they don't have anything animal related in the wax so I guess its fine.
That said, I tries threading the other day and LOVED the results!!! It was super cheap...much cheaper than waxer and my brows look great and are super smooth. No crazy redness afterward, either. I went to the location on LaCienega. Thanks for the tip!!!
