Anyone tried any of the Melissa's vegetarian items?
Just curious as they have them here...
The 'chicken' burgers look interesting as does the rice
based cheese, although it's not vegan (casein again)

At one time they had meat listed as ingredients, then just said it was a "mistype" and the items were actually vegetarian.

I haven't trusted them since.

i like their soyrizo

Why the hell would a non-vegan want to eat a rice based cheese? If it's not vegan, why not just eat plain old cheese?

I love the soyrizo.

People who are lactose intolerant, have a heart condition or are obese, but not necessarily veg*n will opt for the soy/rice based cheeses with added caesin. The caesin helps the "cheese" to melt, without adding huge amounts of dairy fat.

Edited to add that Melissa's ground soy taco "meat" is way inferior to the Lifestream taco and burrito soy ground. But that soyrizo, nothing compares to its spicy goodness.
