I just started watching. I've only seen three episodes of the first season so far since I don't have HBO and have been downloading/renting the shows. Does Bill become more likable? Right now he seems like an a**hole.

Bill's a good guy, for a vampire. Okay, Bill's a REALLY good guy, for a vampire. :lol:

The only one of the regulars I couldn't bring myself to like was Jason. I even like Tara.

That being said, I'm not a huge fan but it's entertaining.

I've been watching the second season, but I didn't see the first. I saw an hour recap from the first season, and my bf fills me in if need be. I think the show is kind of crazy, but agree that it is entertaining.

Not really, he never manages to get that giant stick out of his arse. I don't like him. Love the show though, it's wonderful, even the opening credits are fantastic.

I'm really loving this season (sorry to the people in the UK - I didn't realize they delayed the seasons!). I think I like the 2nd season better than the first and I'm interested in how they will wrap things up. I'm fan of the books, as well. I'm reading the 6th one right now.

PS. I'm really starting to enjoy Eric's character. Yay Eric! Although I think the books are influencing my opinion of him...

The books are very centered on Sookie's life and you don't really get anything about the secondary characters, and I like them (Tara, Jason, Sam) better then Sookie in the show. I find her a little bit annoying sometimes.

That's kind of a bummer. I always tell Mandy I'd almost rather watch a show with just the secondary characters. Jessica and Hoyt crack me up and Lafayette is my favorite character. I'm sure I'll like the books though.

And Eric is awesome. I just love his character from the books. And I think he is well portrayed on the show :yes:

Soooo glad they cut Eric's hair. He looks soo much better.

I do like Bill's underling, I can't remember what Sookie and Bill were going to call her. I should rewatch them. But the episodes I've watched I've skipped through most of the other people scenes.

I don't really watch the scenes of the parties with that creature. Too disturbing for me. ><

I'm on the second series in the UK, I've *ahem* "obtained" the episodes. I love it, but I hate Sookie.

I can't stand Maryann though. Loss of control is my biggest fear :(
