I finally found these! By the ingredients they look perfectly vegan. But I was on the Keebler website checking something and I noticed the US ingredients listed sodium acid pyrophosphate (since I think US labeling laws are stricter, they list all the leavening agents, whereas my Canadian package just says "baking powder").

I have no idea about that ingredient, is it vegan? It sounds vegan, but when I did a search on it I found a page on the BK Veggie (on the VRG website) that said something like " we are still waiting to find out the source of sodium acid pyrophosphate" implying that it may or may not be vegan.

Basically what I mean by this long-winded post is, does anyone know if the Keebler graham cracker crusts are definitely vegan? I've seen them recommended in vegan recipes all over the internet, but has anyone actually contacted Keebler and made sure, or is everyone just assuming it is vegan based on the ingredients list and the fact that they've read online that it is vegan?

I really hope they are because I have to bring a pie to a Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow, and I do *not* want to make a crust...I have two other things to make aside from the pie. I was so thrilled to find these just in time!

Also, is malt vegan? It has that too.

As far as i know it is vegan.

A) Sodium acid... ermm... whatever seems to be vegan as I have never seen it on a animal ingredient list.

b) Malt is not animal derived.

c) I looked at the ingredients and did not see anything that seemed non-vegan.

Also something reassuring is that according to what i looked at it does not contain cholesterol. Cholesterol is a sure-fire sign that there's something animal derived in a product...

But I could be wrong? I say go for it.

Malt is derived from grain. No problem there.

Hi, I thought I'd mention that I found organic vegan grahm cracker crusts the other day at a health food store, made by Arrowhead Mills.
