Hey Everyone,
I thought I would share this everyone.
As some of you may know, I work at a 24 hour emergency vet clinic. We had a lady who came in with her cat who had broken his backleg. She was distraught about it and could not afford the $4000 dollar surgery that it would take to POSSIBLY fix the leg. The vet gave her the option of amputation but she was terrified her cat's quality of life would be non existant and was thinking about euthanizing her can (Simon).
The vet came to see me as I have a 3 legged wonder of a cat named Perry Winkle. He asked if I would be willing to bring in Perry to meet the owner and she could see how well adjusted a 3 legger could be.
I was more than willing do to this in attempt to save Simon's life, so the following day me and Perry showed up to meet the woman.
I spoke with her for about an hour and Perry did a fanstastic job showing her how well a 3 legger can do. he crawled up on her and kissed her faces, snuggled and purred like a motor.
By the end of our conversation she told me she was so glad I spoke with her and allowed her to meet Perry. She decided against euthaniza and hopefully Simon will have his surgery soon :)
She said Perry was "A wonderful ambassador for amputee kitties". It made me feel so nice to have help the woman and Simon.
Just thought I would share and pass on a photo of Perry :)
Kindest Regards,
