Hope my fellow Texans are surviving the heat and lack of rain. Perhaps we should get together and perform a rain dance.

Part of that I think is because the previous owners (we just bought this house a couple weeks ago) weren't living here so our front yard wasn't watered much if at all in weeks. You can definitely tell where it gets shade from the trees during the day. The rest of it is baked. We're working on perking it back up while still staying in the water restrictions.

We're not under restrictions yet here in Clear Lake, but I've placed myself on restriction anyway. My grass is holding up fairly well so far. The only thing I've done that may be a little out of order is to let water run from my hose and fill up the curbside with a little puddle for the birds. Poor things. I feel so badly for them.
Everyone try to stay as cool as possible and be safe. We'll get through this!
Leto, I love Austin. My nephew and his wife lived there before she graduated from UT. I was sad when they moved to San Marcos.Austin is a great place.
