View Full Version : Pondering Starting Running....Odd Question.

I live right near an nice empty field so I really have no excuse. But the problem for me is that running feels so awkward.....my breasts are a 'D' cup which is a total hinderance and I am short which means I take shorter choppier strides.

I usually have to put on a normal bra plus a sports bra overtop but it still feels horribbly uncomfortable even though they don't move as much.

I know this is an odd question, but do any large-breasted shorties have any tips to make this more comfortable besides a reduction?

Some of my clients that are larger breasted get sports bras from Title Nine and they seem to like them the best. Granted, they are more expensive than what you will find at Target, but surely it's worth it.

I did a search on their site for size D:

I'm 5'3" and I'm a Double D. I just wear a one size too small sports bra and then another one over it and it's okay.

Here's a thread I started on the same topic last year.

I've been wearing two for a while now too. I see girls flapping all over at the gym, so I wouldn't worry about appearances too much, but for me, the bouncing drives me crazy!

Google Enell bras. Pricey, but they are serious lock-and-load bras! They were originally designed for equestrians, but runners picked up on the no-bounce thing and they have caught on for a lot of disciplines. My DDD's thank me for them!

I'm a dd and I've been using the snell sportsbra. Best bra for running ever.

It's not just the annoyance of the bouncing either, ladies; it's not good for your breast tissue and can also cause problems with your nipples as they can get grazed (yes really!) from the friction.

That being said, I'm a double G cup so I just power walk ;)

Dude, we're the same size (height, too). :boobies:

I do the regular bra with the sports bra on top. It's a little tight and annoying, but unless you're willing to pay for a really, really good one that's your best bet. You get used to it after a while.

I'm 5'3 and also have a D cup. I wear a good fitting sports bra and have no problems. I run every day! The only time my boobs get uncomfortable is when I take boot camp type classes at the gym. It usually involves jump rope or jumping from side to side. I wear 2 bras to these classes and its still uncomfortable.
