I have been using different types of Tom's and J/A/S/O/N hair and bathing products.Recently I have found that the cost of shampoo and body wash from White Rain cost alot less per unit .(According to Peta's cruelty -free information on the Good Guide,White Rain is vegan) And grandbabies use the seventy-five cent coconut shampoo as bubble bath. Every little bit helps.

I use White Rain shampoo and conditioner. It works just fine for me and it's much cheaper.

These are good products, however, the all natural deodorants are not effective and have caused me some public embarrassment! let's just say I didn't give anyone a hug at the annual meeting....

I cannot recommend White Rain shampoo or conditioner. The smell and texture of my hair was awful after just one use.

I haven't tried White Rain, but J/A/S/O/N/ TeaTree Shampoo is nice. I really prefer Alba's products though, I love fruity scents and they wash clean.

Baking soda is the shampoo of choice for me. Gets my hair lovely clean with no need for conditioner and it's cheap as chips - 5.99 for 12 pounds!

eta: My husband uses White Rain and/or VO5, depending on what's cheaper (I think VO5 is vegan too?).

I use quite a few White Rain products, and like them just fine. Alicia, I hear ya and agree about the deodorant;it stinks (no pun intended).

Wow, I've been spending a small fortune on expensive cruelty free hair care products, I had not even thought at looking at White Rain. Thanks for the tip!

I am glad that White Rain is inexpensive and cruelty free, but I don't care for it on my hair. However in saying that, I do buy some to support them and plus my family likes it.

I buy their body wash and conditioner but I use the conditioner as shaving gel/lotion. I'm not fond of using them on my hair though because they seem really watery and they make my hair feel all crappy.

I used them years ago, but over the last few years I have been using Giovanni. If White Rain is cheaper, I am willing to give them another try. Thanks for the info!

I'm not sure how many people know this but White Rain gets their ingredients from suppliers that test on animals. Most of the companies on PETA's list do.
The Coalition For Consumer Information On Cosmetics site http://www.leapingbunny.org/ has a list of companies that refuse to get ingredients from suppliers that test on animals and they don't test final products on animalsso they are 100% free of animal testing. When you compare PETA's list and the leaping bunny list there's a huge difference.CCIC's list is strict unlike PETA's.
