hi

can you tell me the names of some international brands for shaving cream/gel/foam. International brands only, otherwise i probably won't find the products you recommend

generally i use edge or nivea, and i read somewhere that there are animal products in these 2 brands
hopefully i can find a vegan substitute...

thanks..........................

Honestly, if you already own a vegan-friendly lotion, shampoo or conditioner, just use that. Or you can go with a non-chemical, green alternative and use olive oil or something similar. Cheaper and easier than buying a separate product with only one use.

If you have Alba products where ever you live, try Alba shaving cream. It comes in a tube or they have the gel that comes in the can. I love it! It makes my skin feel amazing. I bought mine at vitamin shoppe, but I am sure you can buy it online and have it shipped to you.

Trader Joe's also has some if you have one nearby.

well, the last time i used something that wasn't specifically meant for shaving, i had a really poor shave
i think this is the case for guys with rough beards like myself
but i'm willing to try again, thanks for your suggestion

I'm not sure about their vegan status, but my boyfriend swears by King of Shaves. They are not tested on animals, which gives a better chance of not containing animal products, but I guess it is going through the ingredients list to be on the safe side.

As for availability in India, King of Shaves deliver worldwide, but postage isn't calculated till checkout (I expect its based on weight and location). Perhaps you could find in in some import shops?

Its a shame Lush shaving creams contain beeswax, as there are Lush shops in India!

If you use an electric razor than you don't need to worry about shaving cream... just a thought...

Can you get Paul Mitchell, The Conditioner there? Many shave with this.

Funny you've mentioned them! when the OP started this thread I started wondering myself, as I use King of Shaves stuff (can't recommend it highly enough), I contacted them and just heard back this morning:

Hello and thank you for your mail. We do not test on animals, nor do we use animal derived ingredients.

I hope this helps!!

Best regards

So there you go :)

It's great for your skin because it's a gel with natural oils in, not a foam which uses detergents, and so it doesn't dry out your skin at all. Cured my acne which had plagued my 20's!
