i dont even have any friends that are vegi, so i never thought id find a boyfriend that was veggie, but then i acciedently converted this one lad, who i was with for 2 years. now i cnt even imagine kissing someone unvegi after theyd eaten meat, i think id be sick! :spew:

My boyfriend is an omni. I wouldn't kiss him right after he'd eaten meat - as you say, the taste is just euurghhh. But at the same time, the fact that he eats meat isn't a huge problem in the relationship. I don't enforce my beliefs on him and he doesn't enforce his on me. And besides, he's good enough to respect that I don't WANT to taste whatever he's just eaten!

BUT the best news is, he just finished reading Peter Singer and is thinking of going veg*n! I'm proud of him for coming to his own conclusions and not doing it "to please me".

My boyfriend is an omni, which doesn't bother me because he never annoys me by saying "This is soo good, I can't believe you don't want some!" when he's eating meat or anything, which a LOT of other people seem to do...
But I wouldn't kiss him after he had eaten meat, that would just be too gross... I don't think I's kiss him after he's any dairy or egg products either, for the same reason.

ahh! i always think about this after my boyfriend eats something, since he is not vegetarian. although i've only seen him eat meat once, it was our first date so luckily i didn't get any cross contamination (haha) but he is actually really considerate about it...for instance he said that when we have a picnic he's only going to make veggie food for me. if he does eat meat around me in the future, he's going to need a whole lot of water and gum for when he's finished!

I can't stand the smell of meat. It just repulses me. I can't watch someone eat it easily, either (mostly if it's rare steak, le gross!). I'm lucky to know plenty of veg*ns (we will rule the WORLD!!!! Hehe (: But to answer your question, no.

I'm going to throw this in as just a thought. If you think kissing someone after they ate meat is bad..have you ever considered kissing anyone in general? Think of how dirty the world is anyway. What people touch with their HANDS and eat with those same hands! Even if you wash your hands and then touch a surface you don't really know what has touched that surface before you. That surface could have been touched by someone who had a burger,ham sandwich or whatever.

I personally don't think its that much of a big deal UNLESS they had a big chuck of meat sticking out of their teeth..then I'd definitely say peace out club scout!
