So I was searching the web for some tattoo designs. I wanted to try to incorporate some aspects of my life into a tattoo. (Animal rescue and veganism mainly.) When doing this research I discovered that tattoo ink isn’t vegan. So this got me to looking up information on that thus finding this website. I tend to rattle on…. TMI is my middle name. LOL.. anyways. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can locate someplace to have a tattoo done that uses vegan ink? I know I could call all the tattoo places, but this seems like it would take FOREVER! I also just can’t seem to find anything that fits me. I see lots of vegan symbols, or people putting the word vegan on them. I don’t want it to be that obvious.

Almost every tattoo shop I've ever been in will order vegan ink for your tattoo if you call them ahead of time. Welcome to VB!

The tattoo shop I went to was willing to order in vegan ink for me. Then, they called their company (eternal) and found out it happened to be vegan. There are quite a few vegan inks so that may work out as well.

I actually did not know that ink wasn't vegan. But that doesn't surprise me. I recently thought of a good tattoo idea. I wanted to get "Thou Shall Not Kill" somewhere on my back and incorporate some animals into it somehow. I just don't know how to go about it without looking cheap. It all depends on you! No one can tell you what YOU should get.

Classic, stable and eternal are all vegan last time I checked. They are pretty common inks for artists to use.
