I work at Wal*Mart (boo) and I tend to browse the shelves in the "natural products" section during my breaks and today I came across a new product line from Nutrius. The lotions are free of parabens and other nasties but there was nothing on the packaging about it being cruelty free.
So I whipped out my cell phone and called their customer service line and talked to a product information guy. He told me that their entire company policy is to make all natural cruelty free products that are accessible to the public. And when I pointed out that package doesn't say anything about the lack of animal derived ingredients or testing. He said that he'll have to get with the people who design the packaging and rectify that!
The scents they have are amazing, both as lotions, body wash and like perfume sprays. I'm excited.
The lesson here: Don't be afraid to call that customer service phone number and ask questions. That's what people work there for!
