Okay, so they're not very vegan, and for the most part not very vegetarian, but I was browsing around their site today and came across this little blip in the bottom right corner of the menu page: Download Vegetarian Menu (http://www.brinker.com/gr/vegetarian/Chilis_Vegetarian_Menu.pdf).

Lo and behold, I did. It's actually quite informative. Read to your heart's content.

Hmm so the vegan options are...

Unmarinated portabello mushrooms
Southwest vegetable without garnish
Black Beans
Corn Relish
Corn Tortillas
Pita bread
Guacamole
Mashed black beans
Rice
Pico de Gallo
Salsa Picante
Sauteed bell peppers, onion, and mushrooms
Classic fajitas without meat
Fajita Quesadilla without meat (this says it doesn't have cheese but they normally do so not sure on that one)

and then under "pepper pals" it has corn and oranges

Just for the vegans who were interested lol

Eh, I avoid restaurants where I have to ask for dishes without multiple ingredients. If it's pasta or something with some chicken stuck on top, I'll just tell them not to include the chicken. But I don't like to make too many special requests. At restaurants like Chili's, Applebee's, and TGIF's, I just feel like I am not welcome there since I have to hunt through the menu to find something I can transform into a vegetarian meal.

Dormouse, sometimes it helps to show up to let them know we're really out there. Places won't bother to add items if they don't think there is a market for it. Restaurants are businesses like any other that will try to fill any demand that nets them some $$$. From what I hear, we've come a long way in having veg choices in restaurants. It will keep getting better if businesses see that the veg customer base isn't just a handful of people who show up every blue moon. So, start letting them (restaurants, stores, etc.) see that they can be successful while catering to the veg community as well!

good start in the right direction!! i would love to see a vegan section of a menu just as diverse and extensive as the non-vegan side. that would be such an improvement on the typical restaurant!

Yes but it's vegetarian not vegan (contains egg).

That's kind of neat. I might have to suggest Chili's next time we dine out. It would be nice, for a change, to be able to order something other than a salad.

It’s the Morningstar Farms product. It’s exactly the same as the commercial product sold in supermarkets. Not vegan, but damn close. Only has egg whites and a caseinate compound to its discredit.
