I can officially suggest Alice & Friends to anyone looking for Vegetarian food in the city. We went to the Cubs game yesterday and stopped at Alice & Friends on the way home. It was AMAZING!!
It's a cozy little restaraunt with purple walls and a great little story written on a scroll which is hung up on one of the walls. The cuisine is Japanese and SUPER good.
We had dumplings, teriyaki unchicken, kungpao unchicken and vegan green tea cheesecake.
Everything was excellent!! For 2 entree's, one appetizer, one dessert AND two drinks it was only 30 bucks so the price is right too. Anyhoo, just thought I'd make that one of my official suggestions now that I've actually been there.
Peace & Love!!

Sounds yummy! Especially the cheesecake! :lick:
I was in Chinatown on Sunday with my mom/sisters, grandmom, uncle, and uncle's roommate as a belated Mother's Day. There was nothing to eat for me at the resturant we went to (uncles idea), but this one girl was kind enough to ask the chef to prepare a vegetable dish with no animal sauce for me. (We assume she had veg*n friends, because when my mom asked a man if there were any veg*n dishes, he stared at her like she was crazy. Then she came running over and helped us. )
Since this weekend is a 4-day-weekend here, my mom wants to go spend time somewhere. I want to go to a veggie resturant. The last time I went to a *real* one was when I was... probably 10. My uncle brought me there. The only thing I remember getting was hummus. Yummy, yummy hummus. xD
Whenever I mention going to one, my sister gives me a look and goes "eww". What's go gross about vegetables? FSM forbid french fries are cooked WITHOUT cow. (In this case Veggie Bite)

Jack swears the chinese place in the mall uses faux chicken because the unchicken dish he had at Alice & Friends tasted EXACTLY the same

Thanks for the recommendation. I am going to school in Chicago next year and I don't really know of any veggie places there.

Went here once with two friends and go the Almond Unchicken and Green Tea milkshake...I was amazed! It was so good. And I love how the place is really small. If I remember correctly they had only like 5 tables. It was really cool :)
