Hey,
Since going vegan I've had mayor troubles finding a good hair product that can really hold my hair up. Before I used American crew or D:fi and they worked good for me (both full of glycerine unfortunately).

I've tried john masters organic and Lush's hair gels, they work but not as strong by far. Don't know if any of these products ring a bell but that's whats available here in sweden. I don't like hair spray since the wind always messes it up instantly...

So, any advice? I prefer stuff that's available in europe but by now i'm so desperate i'll order online from the jungles of new guinea if it's necessary... :)

I believe both Aveda and Pureology make some good vegan products:

I haven't tried these yet but I plan to soon.

I have had some luck with giovanni's magentic pomade. Its kinda soft so might not be perfect for you, but I think they make some pretty good products.

What about Paul Mitchell Super Clean Gel? I always thought American Crew line didn't work so well.

Thanks for the advice!

I need a super strong hair wax... the vegan ones tend not to stay sticky for long.

Too bad i can't find any of these products to try out here... it's going to be expensive ordering them all just to try :p

Well, thanks anyway!

I second the aveda or purology, but glycerine isn't ncessairly not vegan, contact the company and find out if they use an animal or vegetable sourced glycerine.

It's always worth contacting the company and asking if they have any samples or smaller product sizes so you can test it out without breaking your bank account. If they really want to hook you as a customer, they'll be more willing to accommodate. It probably isn't the first time people have asked, especially lately, with more people watching their expenses closely.
