what is everyone up to this summer? i thought it would be interesting to talk about some of the things we'd like to have accomplished before the school year starts up again.
here's mine:
i'm going to start raising chickens
i'm going to get my drivers license so i don't inconvenience my parents anymore needing a ride to work or the shelter (...yea, i'm 18... i just never got around to getting it... haha)
my best friend and i are getting a tattoo
i'm taking two summer classes at my college, and i'm going to get As in both of them
i'm going to go to the Y more often
i'm going to cut back on processed foods
i'm going on a road trip to a random place with someone important to me
i'm going to make more time to spend with my mom
what about y'all?

Well being on the other side of the world we're going into winter. My only real aims are to survive this term of school (I'm in my final year, HSC exams etc) and manage to keep my licence. Here licensing is super strict and you go through various levels, L plates you have to be accompanied by a licensed driver and must ahve them for a year, you can get them when you turn 16, red P plates that I'm on now you have for a year but the police target you, the aim being to make us the safest drivers ever, the saying goes getting your P's isn't hard, it's keeping them. Oh and I'm attempting a vegan diet now so would like that to work out as well.

so this summer before I go to college, I'm hoping to...
-tie up all loose ends with my friends/teachers here before graduation
-cut down on dairy (I'm hoping to give it up completely in college)
-re-learn how to ride a bike
-finish the short story i'm writing
-generally keep active and not allow myself to get bored

Not to be nitpicky, but how is that a bucket list?
A bucket list is a list of stuff you want to do before you 'kick the bucket'... AKA die.
Wouldn't this thread more accurately be titled "Plans for Summer"?

I dont really have one as such, but:
-pass my A-levels with at least C E D
-finish my painting and sell it
-finish my jumper
Im not really at home for a lot of the summer. Im going on my duke of edinburgh exped, then the next day taking part in a sailing race to russia which lasts like a month. I then have one week at home before going to the south of france with my family, and then two weeks later I start college. Phew!

Is it all right to say I'm pretty jealous of you, luv4sheep? Because I definitely am.
My summer is going to be spent riding and training my horse, hiking, taking photos, practicing piano, writing, biking... things like that. It's not that I won't enjoy it, but a sailing race to Russia and a week in southern France sounds just a bit more fun!

Is this just our plans, or are people out for the summer already?? We don't finish for the summer until mid-late July!
Anyway, thinking about it, I want to..
- spend lots of time with friends, we don't spend enough time together any more
- spend more time out and less time sat doing nothing
- save money
- get a job?
- cut down on dairy
- eat less junk
- go to the beach atleast a couple of times (hard when you live atleast an hour and a half away and have no way of getting there easily)
