If you live in the US, perhaps breast feeding your infant is not the safest thing to do?

"SACRAMENTO, California (AP) -- Chemicals used as fire retardants were found in the breast milk of each of 20 women tested across the country, and two of the women had the highest levels ever recorded in the United States, according to a study released Tuesday."

Then they better switch to soy based formulas

its because chemicals tend to get "stuck" in fat. DDT and other nasty things are highly concentrated in fatty tissue of humans and animals. eating organic would help a lot no doubt. as would keeping other harmful chemicals (cleaners, what have you) away from you. although its difficult if you live in the middle of a city.

i'm not *entirely* sure but i believe that kelp helps to remove heavy metal and things from your system.

I have breast fed my two children and they are perfectly healthy.I think that not breast feeding does more harm than good.
