View Full Version : Oww I am sore (Just did lots of exercise)

I had no idea how bad out of shape I was. My exercise consists of 10 sit ups, about 10 minutes on the ab lounge, and a two mile walk each day. Now...I just did this
10 frog jumps, Ran in place for 10 minutes, 50 sit ups, 100 jumping jacks, 1 evolution, a mile walk, knee lifts, and yoga...All within the same hour.
Two hours later I am really regretting what I did:(
Now I have a question, If I do that every day...Will it become not soreness after I do it for a week or so? Then I can slowly ad to that? Because when my bro joined cadet core they did 5 evolutions, 20 sit ups, 30-50 pushups, and they ran a mile 2 times a week. The first day he did it he came home and could not walk... 1 month later he can now do over 50 pushups no problem and he lost 12 pounds...
Would that work for me maybe? Just go over my sore limit and slowly add on? Because I feel good that I did all that...Well my mind does my body obviously did not like it much. what are your suggestions?

it's all conditioning mate.
Your body was never conditioned to that much physical intensity so you're sore now.
If you keep doing it, your body will adapt but it will be very painful.

That's why you need progressive overload instead of significantly overloading yourself on a bluemoon. You start off with the original routine of 10 sit ups, 2 mile walk etc., continue this for a few days and then increment. So on the next few days you're doing 15 sit ups, 11 minutes on the ab lounge etc.

The slower you take it, the less pain you are in. If you can handle the pain you're in now (which will be even worse tommorow) don't add anything on for about 2 weeks. Let your body get used to the increased activity level. After that, add things on slowly.
Unless you really want to feel the burn, heheh.

I am paying for it today:( My legs don't hurt but my mid section is very sore:(
