I am a vegetarian.I love Morning Star, but, most if not all Morning Star products are not vegan.

I like to make sloppy joes with their recipe crumbles with Manwich sauce. It's quick & easy. Just mix a bag of the crumbles with one can of the sauce in a pan and heat.

Morningstar makes the best Veggie hotdogs on the market!!. My kids cant even tell the difference. Their burger crumbles are awesome for chilis and spaghetti. I recently made a lasagna with them and my friend thought I used meat. My kids also like their chick nuggets and their mini corn dogs. They are one of my favorites when it comes to meat analogues.

If you're not a vegan, Morning Star farms makes some good stuff :) I liked their Garden Veggie Patties a lot before I gave up eggs, and the veggie dogs. And I've heard that the chik'n parmesan patties are good too.

The chicken parmesan is awsome, I always buy their products. The buffalo wings are to die for, and I also love the mini corn dogs. I also tried a tomato basil hamburger patty and that was good. I do like their hot dogs the best, though I only use them when they are in something I am cooking. I am not much of a plain hotdog eater. Not sure of the vegetarian/vegan aspect, but their products are pretty tastey.

I like the Spicy Black Bean burgers and the 'sausage' links. Very tasty. The fake bacon gave me heartburn. I wish they wouldn't put egg whites in the stuff, though.

I love the Morningstar veggie dogs! They are the closest to the real thing I've found thus far. I also really like their burgers and chicken stuff. My husband is an omni and prefers their buffalo wings to the real thing  We always have a couple of boxes of their products in our freezer.

The crumbles are great for making sloppy joes or adding into chili or spaghetti sauce. I've also had the chik'n nuggets which are pretty good too. I do like Boca's "hamburger" style burgers better than Morningstar's though.

Before I went vegan, I used to like the spicy buffalo nuggets. The sausage links were pretty good, too. I also wish that they would take out the egg whites!

I've heard they're good, but I never tried any before I quit eggs. Now I won't eat them because most have eggs in them.

We do this about once a week with the crumbles. I actually learned about this from another thread on VB! Mmmmm, Manwich... :lick:

The chili pot pies are vegan & *very* good. They have a cornbread topping on them. Yum! Unfortunately, the grocery store that had them here stopped carrying them. :(

I LOVE their spicy black bean burgers and their chik nuggets. The chik potpie isn't bad either.

The crumbles are great and very versatile! If they'd only remove the egg whites from the rest of their products, I could enjoy them the way I did before I became vegan!

I tried the Prime Grillers, they were really good...
I bought some corndogs, and will let you know...
I want to try the breakfast sandwich and the
pot pie, too...
I think their stuff is probably all very good, but
it does have eggs in most and some have dairy
I think...

Does MorningStar use GMOs? I heard they do, but I'd like a confirmation on this. I'm vegan, so I won't eat most of their products, but I'd still like to know.

Mmmmmm yumm! I like their: veggie dogs (they make the best!!), mushroom and pepper burgers, veggie patties, chik patties, and fake chicken nuggets/buffelo nuggets. I assume they make fairly accurate tasting fake hamburgers, since they taste gross to me (I think real hamburgers taste gross), so to someone who likes the the taste of that I think they would like them.

I couldn't find anything on their website about use of GMO's, so I'm assuming that they do use them. Usually if a company doesn't use them they'll state it in their FAQ.

I *did* find a list of their vegan products, though. Pretty skimpy- :(

Better'n Burgers Veggie Burgers
Grillers Burger Style Recipe Crumbles
Ground Meatless Crumbles
Harvest Burgers Patties Original
Homestyle Chili and Cornbread Pot Pie

I'm really going to have to see if I can special order a case of the chili pot pies. I miss having them on my lunch at work!

Greenpeace has a "GMO shopping list" on their True food now website (www.truefoodnow.org).

http://www.truefoodnow.org/gmo_facts/product_list/pf-list.html

If you go to that site, go to the "meat and dairy alternatives" section and just about all of Kelloggs' products are GMO. Kellogg's is a pretty big proponent of GMOs.

I wish it weren't so hard to buy from completely socially & environmentally responsible companies. :(

Oh.... those buffalo wings were soooo good. I think I may need ONE more package for my last hurrah before I go completely vegan... They are just so good. Mmmmm...

I have liked pretty much everything I have tasted of theirs. My favorite is the corn dogs. The fake chicken made it a lot easier for me to be a vegetarian. My omni husband loves the buffalo wings, the only reason I won't buy them anymore is that I discovered they have hydrogenated oil in them. But overall they have great products.

They use GMOS and I am assuming gardenburger does too because they
don't specify...Amys, however, does specify that they do not use GMOS...
I'll have to try those buffalo wings...And I saw some new thing, a crispy vegetarian nugget by gardenburger that has tomato and cheese in it?
Looked really good...
