Does anyone know if there's such a thing as a product database for vegetarians/vegans? :stinkeye:
In case someone doesn't understand what i asking, i'm simply wondering if there is some sort of database where u can type a specific or unspecific product in, lets say "yogurt" (general) or "yoplait yogurt" (specific) and it will tell u if there r any animal or animal related ingredients in it.
I'm sure there must be something down the lines of that? :help:

There may be some, but I wouldn't trust their complexity or accuracy.

Someone posted about it a month or two ago, so if you use the search feature I'm sure you'll find some previous posts relating to this

The problem with those lists and databases are that they are obsolete 5 minutes after being written. Companies change their ingredients for products all of the time. The product you know is veggie today may not be veggie tomorrow and visa versa. You need to just read the labels of the products you are purchasing and be aware of the companies you are doing business with.

so then the question is where can you get a list of ingredients with the definition of what it is and what it is made from and then i guess call the 1-800 number to verify the ingredients you arent sure about... I am muslim and look for kosher foods but frankly, i find people are eating and putting animals on their faces thru "hidden" ingredients and I find this just awful why cant people just tell you I mean I bet so many health problems are because people dont know what they are eating whyi cannot big companies just keep it simple, isnt it cheaper that way too?
