I LOVE LOVE LOVE Urban Decay and just wanted to share with you that they have a vegan line of products, I'm sure most of you know but if you don't then check it out :D

Their eye shadows are amazing

I <3 UD! I'd been eyeing their website for years but didn't want to shell out the money (especially since I'm spoiled on Everyday Minerals' prices). My best friend bought me the Sustainable Shadow Box for my birthday along with the XXX Shine Gloss in Quickie.. unfortunately 4/10 of the shadows aren't vegan. She didn't know I was thinking about going vegan though, and just knew I had been drooling over the e/s when we were in Sephora. So I'll use up the set and then, if I decide I want to buy more in the future, I'll stick to the vegan ones. :)

Oh! I almost forgot.. UDPP is my HG makeup product of all time. Without it I can't wear any eyeshadow at all, it creases within ten minutes. With it, it stays on all day, sometimes even into the next day if I forget/am too lazy to wash it off before bed.

don't you dare turn this into another EM thread heather. :p we need all the UD support we can get round here! i love it. i've loved it for absoflippinglutely years. the primer potion, the 24/7 eyeliners.... stuff is vivid and pigment rich and does exactly what it says on the tin (like stay on).

i'm poor too. but quality wins over quantity every time mate. :p

ED is really pigment rich intense stuff, and it it lasts. i'd much rather pay $20 for something that does its job really well- like pronto, no fuss involved, than get 6 things that kinda half show up a bit if you fiddle about with assorted brushes, etc.

with ED you only need to use a teeny bit at a time. i've got some of their stuff that i bought ages ago, cos it just lasts forever (and yeah, i bet its a right little germfest in there, but i'm relatively impervious to my own lurgies and it keeps my auto immune system busy, so thats fine!) cos you don't need to cake it on to get an intense look.

....and cos its not loose powder for the most part, most of it doesn't end up all down your tshirt or all over your dressing table or floating off into the stratosphere when i wave a brush at it- which i really like. that stuff really did my head in with mineral makeup. i don't do well with things that aren't pretty solid, and which are subtle, apparently.

i'm just not dainty enough, i spect. :D

When I'm rich, I'm going to buy it :p The UDPP helps the EDM eyeshadows show up and stay on, so I stick with that. I used to LOVE MAC for the same reason you like UD... but once I found something more natural and all vegan, I couldn't justify my regular purchases. I seriously have about $250 worth of MAC eyeshadow. :p

My sister has 2 UD eyeshadows and they don't really show up that dark on me... I need to try them again (with Primer). The selection is amazing at Sephora, everytime, I want to buy $1,000 worth :p Luckily my credit card is already almost maxed out

Hey, I like my mineral cloud to leave residue on my clothing and counters, thank you very much :p

I haven't used EM but I'll check it out

You're right that UD is expensive but I think it's worth it, it tends to last longer than other brands I guess because, like hoodedclawjen said, it's pigment rich stuff :P Is EM at Sephora? That's usually where I shop, well there and Ulta, but I've cut back on Ulta since I learned they aren't cruelty free :(

EDM is only available online. You can get a free sample kit, all you have to pay for is the shipping.

https://www.everydayminerals.com/index.php

Just go to Kits and then Custom Kits. Add it to your cart and drag and drop the 3 foundations, 1 concealer, and 1 blush you want. It's about $3.13 to ship.

Do you know how UD compares to MAC? MAC eyeshadow is by far my favorite because it's so well pigmented. Is it just as good?

Reel her in Heather... :p

No but sblthin, EDM really is good stuff. I want to try more UD, all I have right now is the eye primer, which I love.

Lol. Good girl. :)

It's linking lip gloss! Everything on that site looks awesome though. I just have to hold myself back b/c I will want everything. Which colors are you looking at?

I'm not looking at the colors so much as the guys  Milky Mauve probably is my favorite...

As far as how UD compares to MAC I'm not sure but I know a lot of people that use MAC also use UD and vice versa, so I'm guessing they're similar.

:) If I remember tomorrow, I'll borrow my sisters green eyeshadow and see how I like it. I have a store meeting early, so I hope I don't wake up late and forget.
:) Just watch, tomorrow I come back to the thread and say "I just spent $200 at Sephora on UD. Went there after my meeting"

Lol that was the first thing I was gonna say when I clicked the link...

 Honestly, the only thing that has kept me from UD is the price tag, nothing else, I LOVE the line, everything looks like so much fun! I play with the colors when I'm at Sephora every time.

I love all the names of their products and colors lol Little things like that bring me so much joy haha

Do you have any other recommendations? I used to use Ulta makeup all the time but like I said they aren't even cruelty free, much less vegan, so I'm trying to change. I'm still gonna use up the rest of my ulta stuff I suppose. I can't sell it because I've already used it and it seems worse to throw it out and waste it than to just finish using it. I especially like their eyeliner, does EDM have good eyeliner? I'm prone to smudging- oily skin.

Me too!! :)

I would absolutely use up the makeup you have, I hate wasting. :)

EDM only has powder eyeliner... if you have the right brush, it's good, but personally, I prefer MAC's Teddy Eyeliner. You know why? Because I got Teddy for free and I'm going to use the darn thing up  I won't waste. I do sometimes wear different colored eyeshadows as eyeliners (purples and greens especially), I'm prone to dry skin, so I really don't know if it makes a difference. You can ask the other EDM professionals here. Here's the thread about it (http://www.veggieboards.com/boards/showthread.php?t=101714&page=207) (linking you to the page that's currently the last page for me). We can get you started there, just post a quick post and trust me, we'll help you out with anything you need.

Okay, so about UD, if you could only recommend 3 products to someone, what would you recommend?

Hm
1. Any of the eye shadows (gunmetal is my personal fav) Like I said the color is great. I have really pale skin though so most things show up really well

2. the Primer potion is uhhhhhhmazing, I don't go a day without it

3. Big fatty lip plimper, I usually don't wear lip gloss other than this stuff so I'm not sure if it makes my lips more plump or it's the fact that I'm wearing something on my lips bit I think it's great :)

I have yet to try their mascara though. I think sephora has a small sample pack of the mascara, primer potion, and maybe the lip plumper for around $22, I was going to get it but it had a lot of bad reviews because it was so small so I figured I'd just save up and get the regular sizes.

 Honestly, I don't think I'd buy that.. it's so cheesy, like those pens with the naked women on them. It's kind of neat that they release pheromones, though.

I thought it was a little cheesy as well but it's nice to see some male eye candy instead of half naked chicks all over the place lol

Lol, I love the e/s, UDPP, and gloss as well. My favorite of their e/s are Midnight Cowboy Rides Again, Twice/Half Baked, and Grifter (not vegan, sadly).

I've heard great things about the lip plumper! I have a couple of 'plumpers', and most just seem to have mint or something in them to make the lips tingle. The XXX gloss isn't meant to be a plumper, but it has peppermint in it which I notice does the same thing as the VS and Clinique plumping glosses. No real 'plumping', but lots of tingle. It's funny though, because I didn't buy any of the plumping glosses that I own, all of them were given to me as gifts. My lips are fat enough as is, I don't want to look like I was stung by a bee. (well my bottom lip anyway, top one is on the thin and villainous side)
