boca vs morningstar

I really like morning star chix patties.. i make them into chix parm (pasta sauce and mozzerella cheese) for a quick dinner once in a while.. sooo yummy!!! When i was at the grocery store the other day i noticed boca had chix patties too... they were less expensive so i bought them.. they werent half as good.. i'm really dissapointed...

Really? I love the Boca chicken patties. I actually like both of them. Have you ever tried making chicken parm with the Morningstar Italian herb chicken patties? It is delicious. :hungry:

If you're a lacto-ovo vegetarian, Quorn chik'n patties are orgasmic. When cooked in the oven, they taste exactly like chicken, so much better than both Morningstar and Boca.

Aren't all Morningstar chik'n patties not vegan? Everything I pick up that is Morningstar's seems to not be vegan so I stick with Boca.

Hmm I actually prefer Boca to Morningstar. The Morningstar chik'n sometimes has a funny taste to me. Quorn is by far better than both of those, however.

I used to eat the Morningstar patties before I was veg even. When I made the switch though, I tried the Boca because they are vegan and I really couldn't tell a difference between the two. I guess I don't eat them all that often though, so maybe that is why.

It's all up to personal taste. I don't like most boca products, and HATE their original veggie burger.

The best way that I have found to make Boca chicken patties. First micro it for 1 min., pop it in the toaster so that it gets crispy.

I could eat morningstar chix patties everyday, microwave for a min. then broil for two

I eat the boca chik'n patties because theyre vegan.. I love the boca vegan burgers though they are my favorite of any veggie burgers.

so boca gets my vote.

I agree! I discovered these after I found out I was having reactions to all the soy I was eating, and they're by far my favorites. I wish they were vegan so I wouldn't have to suffer through nights of constant itching just for some yummy food!

:yes: I try to eat vegan most of the time, but these are my weakness. I have 5 boxes in my fridge right now... I had 8 not that long ago. I could eat the nuggets at every meal :p And the Cranberry Goat Cheese Patty :drool:

I dont like the Veggie Burger either...but boca VS Morningstar its even...not great but okay...I havent tried Quorn...may check that out.

I eat about half of each.. I prefer Boca for crumbles/strips/burgers.. but Morningstar Farms for chik'n nuggets/tenders/patties.

I've recently fallen into a love affair with Quorn, however, which has no good ending that I can forsee since I want to go fully vegan. :cry:

The grocery store seems to have a bigger Morningstar collection though. I *love* the chik'n nuggets and the buffalo wings! Also, their mini corn dogs, i wouldn't know if there was a mixup and real meat was in there. Which could be good or bad i guess. :p

Quorn, though, is simply amazing. I like it better than both morningstar and boca.

usually I use boca for imitation beef products and morning star for imitation chicken, no idea why. I guess Boca was the first imitation meat item I tried so I'm loyal to it, but I love morningstar's imitation chicken products

I love the mini corndogs too! However I don't like the full size corn dogs or their veggie dogs.. I prefer Smart Dogs. :lick:
