Chicago Soydairy now has vegan marshmellows. They look really good and come in different sizes including smaller ones to add to hot chocolate. Vegan essentials just started carrying them. Here is their myspace link:

Has anyone already tried them?

I read about them when I got an e-mail from Veganessentials. It looks like something I'll definitely try out. I hear the marshmallows are on back order.

I know it's weird, but if someone made dehydrated vegan marshmallows (like the ones in Lucky Charms and Swiss Miss boxed hot chocolate mixes), I'd be so, so happy. I guess theoretically I could dehydrate them myself if I had a food dehydrator, but I don't see myself being motivated enough to do it, no matter how much I like them that way. :(
I don't like marshmallows unless they're those little itty bitty dehydrated ones. I miss those.

I was excited to include these in my order from veganessentials this week, when I discoved as I "added to cart" the item is sold out! I hope they are just on backorder and not just something special for easter! I was really impressed when I tried the Sweet & Sara brand. I don't think anyone can argue the importance of gelatin in marshmallows after trying vegan ones.

I have three left. I've been painstakingly saving them, nibbling only a tiny bit at a time. When in reality I just want to shove all three in my mouth and faint from non-gelatinous marshmallowy goodness.

 Something spilled on them, not sure if whatever it was is vegetarian. I don't think it got into the box, but I'm nervous. Plus, I wonder how long they last in the fridge. I get weird about eating old food.

Do veggie marshmallow still go all puffy and massive when you put them in the microwave?
Because that is so much fun to do!

You really should! I ordered a pack of vanilla marshmallows and a peanut butter s'more, and they threw in a free regular s'more with it! :pibo: I actually liked that better than the pb one
I used half of them to make vegan rice krispy treats, and left the other half for snacking. :)

Aw, that sucks. They're supposed to last in the fridge for up to 12 weeks. I've had mine for about 8 so far.

 I made my own s'more with one of them.. but I turned my back for a second and missed it puff up. It had already deflated by the time I looked. :(

GUESS WHAT I BOUGHT YESTERDAY!!!
They had them at my local Health Food Store for $4.99! Bought 2 bags and they are AWESOME. I like them better than Sweet and Sara. They don't go in the fridge, so they aren't hard, they taste exactly how I remember marshmallows tasting... a little better though because of the vanilla. :D I'm excited and can't stop eating them.

Oh lucky find!! I think they taste just like grocery store marshmallows too. They toast up over a campfire a little better than the Sweet and Saras also.

One of my clients, who is also vegan, gave me some for Christmas! It was the first time both of us tried them. They really do taste just like marshmallows! :) Weirdly enough, I used to snack on marshmallows - loved the toasted coconut kind. These are way too expensive to snack on, but it was fun to have a few :)

Nonsense! Just skip a few meals, put that money towards vegan marshmallows :p I actually like the texture of these better than the regular. They're wonderful.

I had seen them a couple weeks ago when I was at my local Co Op. I contemplated buying them, but they were like $6.00 and I was already buying "junk food" a Sugar Plum Vegan chocolate Peanut Butter Creamie (Heaven) and figured I didn't need the marshmallows too.
