As much as I love things telling me I'm right, I try not to put a lot of stock in random charts, graphs and statistics...

Well, obviously this is just a general chart and it depends on the individual's diet, as I'm sure many are in between levels, but still, there was quite a difference from each level.

I'm just now learning about all of the environmental factors of the farming/dairy/egg industries and I find it all so interesting.

It certainly is interesting, and there is lots of support for a vegan diet being a more environmentally sound one than most omnivorous diets, that's certain. :)

My diet is green (that's jealous) of the green diet..
I don't eat my salad.
I know I'm sooo baaad.
I want to eat it, buuut....
Well, at least I am making pickles today!
Mainly, I tend let my veggies rot if I buy them and then decide to eat out, cos I live in the city, and they are really expensive here...
hmmm...
I should just eat salad while eating out then, huh?

I love homemade pickles! The store bought ones are too salty.

You could try buying frozen or canned vegetables if you're concerned about fresh veggies rotting. Those tend to be pretty cheap and of course last a lot longer than fresh.

The post was more referring to the environmental aspect of your diet though, not the actual greenness of it :)

I think that is an awesome chart. And it's even more awesome that it was not made by a "vegan society" but by independent researchers.

Thank you very much for posting this.

Wow, what a difference- even between the omnivorism and the vegetarianism!

Damn, though, that makes me feel good as a vegan. Woo.

And oh man, do veggies rot in my fridge all the time... It's just having no time to cook and manage to find recipes that'll fit for everything in my fridge, ya know?...
