I was just layed off, but I have about 400 or more business cards left. Is there anything fun or crafty that I could do with them? They are front and back, so I can't use them for scrap paper.

if you cover em, you could do anything you fancy... make a set of 400 trading cards, punch holes in the corners, attach them with ribbon or wire and make a giant buisnesscard beaded curtain, build little houses out of them like you might playing cards and make a little business card city... etc?
just pretend there is no visable text, work out what you'd do with 400 little cards, then make it so there is no text by covering it up. :D

It kinda stinks that they are double sided.
You could rub them with ink pads if the letters aren't raised. Then they could be mounted on greeting cards or scrapbook pages.
You could try making recycled paper out of them. I've seen molds made from old screen material tacked to an old picture frame. There's a tutorial here (http://www.pioneerthinking.com/makingpaper.html).

This website says you can make cubes out them:

But what is the point of making cubes??? I mean, what do you do then with your old cubes? Turn them back into business cards???

use the cubes as giant dice and play giant snakes and ladders with real ladders and not real snakes! that'd be cool. :D

The aforementioned cubes (http://nedbatchelder.com/text/cardcube.html)
Use them to level up your tables and bookcases that sit unevenly.
Bookmarks.
To insert in the middle of items like luggage tags to make them stiffer and more durable.
Attach them to CD cases, DVD cases, inside books, etc, to identify them as yours. Beats writing your name inside the cover of each book!

Naw, you do that right before you hop on your private jet and fly off to Aruba.
But then, your boss probably vacations in Aruba, too, so that might not be the best idea. Pick someplace your boss would never go, like Bulgaria.

My cat "loves" all my origami too... which is kinda frustrating since most of the stuff I make takes a long time.

What next?
Now that you've made your cube, there are other things you can do:
You can make more cubes.
You can make six more cube pieces, and carefully attach them over the six sides of your cube to get a nice tab-less look. The tabs of the new piece are folded completely under the tabs beneath it.
You can interlock the tabs from two cubes to attach them, and build from there.
You can get 66,048 cards together, and make a depth 3 Menger's sponge.
You can make a movie starring your cubes.
You can try fancier shapes!
You can try another five-minute project: How to make coffee stirrer stars.
You can read the New York Times article featuring this page.
You can read my blog, where other similar topics are discussed.
just sayin

Hehe thanks. I like the origami thing, not very practical, but at least it is fun. I just hate to throw that much away.

Nope, origami isn't practical at all... which is probably what I like about it. But I've gotta admit, if I ever met someone who had actually taken the time to fold 400 or more origami frogs, I would back away veeery slowly and then run like ****.
BTW - the depth 3 Menger's sponge sounds pretty geekalicious, but it's hard to imagine taking the time to actually make one.
