I moved down to San Diego a few months ago... I currently reside in Ocean Beach, which has proven to be VERY veg-friendly. I've found plenty of good places to eat, the co-op, etc. Only drawback is, I don't really know anyone here...and despite finding plenty to do by myself, I get bored easily without much human contact. I was part of a huge community of friends up in Seattle, so this is kind of weird for me. Any ideas on how to get more involved in the community and make new friends? Cool places to hang out? etc?

I just started college again, but it seems as though I don't have a whole lot in common with my fellow classmates (especially since I'm like 6-7 years older than everyone). Suggestions?

:hi: I'm in San Diego and in college as an older student too. What other things are you in to?

Let's see...I used to be into doing stuff outdoors, but nowadays I'm just lazy and rarely ever leave OB. I mostly just explore the surrounding area and try to find new veg-friendly places to eat or take the dog down to Dog Beach. You?

Any San Diego people fans of Brandi Carlile? She's going to be in town and Mark likely won't be in California... so I need a friend to go with :)

Angelene, where'd you go? I like poetry, music, performance art, protests, coffe shops, OB People's...the usual!

DKS, no, I'm not a fan, it's too country for me. But, if it isn't too expensive, I'd go with you!

It is a bit pricey... $25 a ticket plus $15 food/drink minimum :-/
