I'm training for my first race & I'm pretty excited! I've run off & on, but never gotten into a consistent schedule. So I joined Team in Training to give me a consistent schedule & a goal to reach for. So far, it's going awesome! I'm already up to running 4 or 5 miles at a time and I'm training for a half-marathon coming up in May. Not bad considering I started with run/walking in December.
The other awesome part of Team in Training is that it's not just helping me reach my fitness goals, it's also raising money for a good cause. We're raising money for Leukemia & Lymphoma research. Some of the money even goes to the patients - to help them get access to the treatments they need.
So... here's the shameless plug. I'm on my way to my goal of $4000 for blood cancer research. Please visit my website for updates, and if blood cancer has ever affected you or your family, I hope you'll consider making a donation!
