Has anyone tried the Yves Veggie Chick'n Burgers yet? I saw these at the store and a friend told me they were really awesome. I didn't buy any because I was nervous that there was some hidden animal products in them. All the regular ingredients seemed fine but I'm worried about the vitamins that are added. I thought Yves used to label their vegan stuff with a big "V", and I didn't see it on there. Or maybe that was Lightlife that does that? Or is that the same company? Oh I don't know! Anyway, here's a link to the ingredient list:

I'm excited to find out because this could be what I need to get my husband to go vegan! :vebo:

I tried them once.. can't say that I'm fan though. Their other two types of burgers are pretty good.

They aren't bad and they aren't exactly good either. However I do like Yves Veggie dogs! :lick:

Been thinking about trying them...
I think I will try the goodbugers first though...
Then again, they are made with soy, which may
be a prob for me...
I think lightlife is a whole other company...
Also yves has at least two kinds of veggie dogs,
what is the best one? And what interesting things
do you do with them?

Ummm, that didn't come out quite right, :worried: ahem...
I meant, in what what way do you serve your veggie dogs...

I think how you cook them determines if they are good..

i cook mine in a skillet in olive oil and make sure to cook them until they are alittle crispy on the outside.. i think they are yum!

It's been a while since i've had them (they're kinda hard to find around here) but i remember liking them quite well... they're a lot better than their chick'n nuggets for sure!

they are vegan, as are all Yves products except for their "good slices" and "good shreds" (cheese replacements).

i slice them into strips, saute them in a bit of olive oil, lemon juice, garlic and salt, and eat them on a vegan caesar salad. yum.

the nuggets are very good, but the key is not over cooking.. they fry fast, so you have to be very careful... you want to remove them before the look very browned. it only takes a couple of mins..

Kreeli, i cut and fry the strips for alfredo.. mmmm...

the problem i had with the nuggets is that they tasted like mushrooms to me .. ick

Has anyone been able to find and try the yves pepperoni slices?
I bought some of the 'ham" slices, and on the back of the package
it says they have a pepperoni variety...
The only kind my local store has is the ham and turkey slices...

OZ, maybe you had an odd batch.. they have in no way tasted like mushrooms the few times i have made them..

if you haven't found out yet, it's lightlife who marks the big V for vegan. Their site is great(meaning informative) and most of their stuff is vegan. Great company.

We eat the Yves Pepperoni slices all of the time. They are really tasty as a snack or on pizza. Actually, I usually have them on melba toast rounds with a bit of Dijon mustard to make them stick more often than on pizza. We can mow through a package pretty quickly.

Is lightlife the company that has Smart Deli products? I've tried the pastrami. I liked the taste, and my boyfriend thought that it was tolerable (pastrami was his favorite before going veg). The funny thing was that I tried the ham and it had a similar taste to the pastrami, but I think its better that the yves brand. Smart Dogs are really good!

I finally tried one of the Chick'n Patties and wow it was very good! I had it on a hamburger bun with spicy mustard, veganaise and spring greens, mmmm! You have got to try it! I found them in a Wal*mart near me, I think that they are way better than the Gardenburger Chick'n Patties. Shannon
