What tips does everyone have for teaching kids healthy habits? I saw this video (http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NmNRykRo61g) the other day and was not pleased with how unhealthy some kids are eating! Can you guess what the #1 eaten veggie is for toddlers in the US? Not good!

Kids grow up loving what they ate as a kid most of the time... that's why I love broccoli and why my boyfriend loves fast food.

My mom cooked a lot so I'm used to not eating out. I think it's important to have healthy things available like chopped up fruits and veggies. They have to be available quickly or within reach or else children lose interest. If they're old enough they'll find something else like chips from a ba or something quick and simple like that.

Maybe even have sandwich triangles available for toddlers. I saw somewhere that you can put pb and jelly on a tortilla really thin then roll it up tight, you can cut thin slices making little cute pin wheel snacks.

Yeah I agree, children learn habits early. Sometimes its hard with picky eaters, but you can get creative. I thought some of the ideas on this list (http://www.gerber.com/Nutrition_Feeding/Tips_for_a_picky_eater.aspx?CategoryId=09dcfcde-ca23-400a-bf2c-f396e951c42a&MilestoneId=575560de-4215-4713-82d0-67fee71cc9fb) were good, like offering healthy foods in bright colors or fun shapes.
