I am pretty sure it stands for Orange County.

yeah it means Orange County...a relatively well off part of California.

I was flipping through the channels last night and I heard the music they were playing..and I was like "ooooOOOohhh" so I stopped and watched.

Not bad, not bad at all..

Yeah, O.C. stands for Orange County or as those who live in or around it refer to it "behind the orange curtain." I grew up in Orange County, but have now thankfully gotten away (there are many ghetto parts of OC and poorer areas, but hey that wouldn't make for scintillating TV). I've watched it a few times (my husband is crack addicted to it), because I wanted to see which places they would show. So far there have been no confirmed Orange County location sightings. Not one!

They did slam my now-'hood, Long Beach. But when they actually went there they were in Signal Hill. Blast! I wanted them to go to Snoop's childhood home on 21st and Lewis or some such place. Out here everyone, I guess ironically, loathes Newport Beach. It's the home of super-creeps like Dennis Rodman and sundry Ferrari driving, cell-phone talking, Republican voting numbskulls.

Sorry for the bitterness, I just really hate Orange County, not the show, just the place.

I love that show! Seth is my new fictional boyfriend.

Pure soapy delirium-goodness.

I really like the show a lot too, even though I'm sure it's geared to a demographic considerably younger than my 47 year old self. :D

oh my goodness kids, i love this show!

i've heard it being called "the new 90210" but i really don't see much of a real connection. or maybe that is me just trying to repress the idea that i would watch such a show at my age :D

it's a good one though. i can't wait to see what happens this week.
