Chrissie Hynde from The Pretenders' vegan restaurant

She's opened The Vegiterranean in her hometown in Ohio, hopefully she'll expand it soon. The menu is mouthwatering. I always felt her old friend Linda McCartney should have done this, putting her own recipes on he menu.

Akron is my hometown and I have been to her restaurant. It was amazing as it seems.
It was my birthday so we treated ourselves royally. The tomato caprese was excellent - I used to love that appetizer as a vegetarian. I had the lemon picatta 'chicken' which was wonderful. But the best part hands down, was the cheesecake. Divine!
The restaurant is simple, modern and elegant without feeling pretentious. It is located in a new condo building and there is a small coffee shop and bakery attached that I believe is all vegan as well. If I lived in Akron I would live there.
