Sorry I have not been around for a while, but things have really picked up around here. And it will be getting even busier in October, I will be going back to school myself.

About a week ago, my husband called me from work. He asked me to bring him some dinner. You might be wondering to yourself what does this have to do with animals. Let me go on. Now my husband has only called me only twice to bring him something. The last time he got soaked. Any way I go to his job and while waiting I see this little kitten roaming around outside. This poor thing was very sick, and very thin. My kids got board and stepped out of the car. The next thing happen was this kitty jumped in my car. Any body that know me, knows I don't have the heart to turn my back on an animal that needs help. But I just did not know how I was going to help him, finically we were strapped, because of some major repairs that are going on.

A woman comes up to my car and asked if a kitten is in my car. Thinking it might be her cat, I said yes. The next thing said asked if I will give it a home. Sure. So she took the kitten to the vet, and paid for all it's medical bills. He spent a whole week there. I don't know what he had, but he had blood comming from his noise. And was very contagious. The kitten is now at my home and is on the road to recovery. But he deffantly was knocking on deaths door before. He is only 3 months old.

If there is a place for reconition for people who do good deeds, this woman defanilty needs to be reconized for her good deeds. The nurse at the vet told me that she does this for any animal that she finds that needs help.

Definatly! Unfortunatly there are not enough of those people around (otherwise we wouldn't have sick kittens running around like this.) It seems that often times the people who would do such a thing as this lady, are not financially able to.

Your story reminds me of how I got my Ichabod. It was Xmas Eve, and I was taking gifts out to the car. I had just gotten done setting food outside for the stays... and I looked, and there was this little black kitten, and I could hear him breathing hard while he ate. He was obviously sick. Luckily he was so distracted by the food I was able to catch him. After much antibiotics and loving, he's now the sweetest cat (sitting on my lap as I type this actually). It makes me mad when I think about how if I hadn't found him, he would have surely gotten worse and died... because someone else was to lazy and irresponsible to have his mother fixed.
